Original Gouache Painting | Size 31 cm x 36 cm | Framed in a Modern Rubberwood Frame
Nestled on the edge of Lake Wakatipu, The Boat Shed Café isn’t just a place to sip coffee—it’s a living chapter of Queenstown’s maritime past.
The café is housed in the beautifully restored New Zealand Railways Shipping Office, a building that dates back to the 1860s. Originally used as a store, it has stood witness to over a century of change. In 1936, Dunedin lawyer Frank G. Duncan gave it a new lease on life, relocating it from central Queenstown to its current home on the Frankton waterfront.
